Ayer fui a Carmines, porque cuando llegamos de visita a Brooklyn esperamos a Aaron ahi, y comimos increiblemente bien, brindamos y esperabamos que Aaron no fuera un friky, como las caracterizaciones de Steve Buscemi! jeje Pedi una pizza, pero no me supo igual, sera la tristeza y alegria en memorias.
este es un video de cuando vimos gratis a the islands (Jose no me creia que en verdad no costaba nada) en un parcucho con una bonita explanada, compramos cervezas en la esquina y las cubrimos con la tipica bolsa de papel craft. Despues de ahi corrimos a ver a Justice en Manhattan. Fue muy padre todo ese dia, desde que nos despertamos, salimos a lonchear comida vegana chatarra en Foodswings. Aaron nos acompaño casi todo el dia, fue lindo.
Esta es como una recolecion de memorias que aun no he terminado y que empece a escribir el otro dia, me toma tiempo porque tengo que escarbar en la memoria cuales han sido los chiqui-momentos o dias enteros de felicidad plena con amigos, esas cosas que luego recuerdas y te hacen sentir bien. Aca uno de ellos.
Cuando: 2006 alguna tarde despues del trabajo cuando vivia por el area Tec: Con quien: Jose Antonio Donde: las Gorditas Doña Tota Que: Fui a casa de Jose, queriamos cenar, Jose y yo salimos a comprar comida, Chino se quedo en su casa viendo la tele, entramos a las Gorditas y en la tele estaba algo de Pronosticos o la Loteria, Jose me tomo del brazo y empezo a saltar como si nos hubieramos ganado la loteria, y yo que? am? ah! y el me dijo: eso se ha de sentir bien padre ganarse la loteria! y entonces saltamos tantito y nos abrazamos como si nos hubieramos ganado la loteria!
El otro dia me fui a Yola's a cenar sola, tenia antojos nostalgicos y me comi unos tamalitos de queso, que rico. Hoy tengo ganas de una sangria señorial pero esa esta un poco mas dificil... asi que mis habilidades googlisticas me hicieron encontrarme con este sitio chitosamente llamado el MEXIGROCER jajaja, esta conganas, obvio los precios no son iguales que alla, pero esta lleno de delicias y amor por Mexico.
Creo que me aventurare a hacer tamales para año nuevo!

This evening we went to the art/crafts/snacks/live music market La Superette. There I saw this photo of these 2 ladies with cheerful eyes and a giant mustache on a label of some products. Although we got some goodies from other artists, I couldn't get this photo out of my mind. It is just so dorky, creative and super cute.

Latetly I have been making more vegan dishes, baked specially. I am totally addicted to vegan pizzas. The "cheese" is so simple to make and it tastes just so good!
Ingredients: 1 Firm Silken Tofu Salt 1 Knorr Onion cube 1 head of garlic Italian herbs Black Pepper Olive Oil
Here is what you have to do: -Boil 1/4 of water and add the powder of a cube of Knorr onion flavor -Mash the silken tofu with a fork or in a food processor add the onion water and a little of olive oil. - Heat and put in a fry pan with herbs, pepper and lots of salt. I also put some chile flakes and seeds. - Stir and heat until it has a slightly moist pasty consistence for about 15 min - Bake it on top of your pizza!
While you are doing all this chop the top of the garlic head exposing a little of all the garlic cloves still in its peel. put it on an aluminum foil and pour some olive oil, close the foil and start baking it. At the end get some cloves out and put them on your pizza. mmmhhh mhhh

Next week Fever Ray (the girl from the The Knife, Karin Elisabeth Dreijer Andersson) is going to have 2 gigs in NY (with tons of lasers and other light effects, almost like a magic show from the 90's), I still don't know if I would go, so far expending money on shows is not on my top priorities, yet I found recently this remix made by the Fuck Buttonson this site and it is Amazing! even better than the original version! To describe how good it is if I had a car (and know how to drive well enough) I would drive to a lonely highway with endless flat fields to catch the last sun light, in that fast moment when the sun is about to go down and you would like to extend the sunset forever while the music is repetitive and awesome.
I must say that the people who uploaded the track cut at the very end!! arrgg. So don't get as excited as I did!
Saliendo de ver Suspiria el viernes vimos a Tony Conrad esperando el Metro en la 3rd ave. bueno Aaron lo reconocio y lo queria saludar, pero yo andaba demasiado chiveada cual de Pachuca jeje. En fin no sabia que era matematico! y de Harvard que padre! y yo que crei que solo era musico y pues resulta que hizo el video de arte "the flicker" del cual sabia pero que tampoco sabia de quien era, osh puros osos. En su pagina hay unos tracks "TERRORIFICOS" y muy buenos (mi favorita "Air Conditioner" y "The State of Hawaii"), aparte de fotos como la de arriba :)
So I made this cake for my birthday and it was awesome! super good flavor and my very first cake ever made entirely by myself and my first vegan too!. It was easy and quick to make and can be made in anywhere since it doesn't have any weird ingredients that are not likely to be found in supermarkets outside the U.S.
I had to substitute cherries for strawberries and It was great too! I also used peaches to decorate on top (besides mango), I fried them with soy butter and sugar. mmmmhhhh, they blended in perfectly.

Este fin vi en la tele un documental de como los escombros del WTC siguen siendo filtrados para encontrar articulos personales de los fallecidos. Una señora que nacio en el 11 su esposo murio ese dia y en la cajuela su coche encontraron el regalo que su esposo le habia comprado, pero que no le pudo dar, hasta que ella lo recupero años mas tarde (awwww)
